Our mission is to bring back the beauty of natural clothing by
weaving alpaca wool into garments that honor tradition,
respect the planet, and free people from synthetic fibers.

It began with a simple dream : to give new life to the wool of ranchers across the country. Every year, countless pounds of beautiful fiber are discarded or composted, their potential left unrealized.
We wanted to change that.
In the beginning, we worked with the wool from our own animals, experimenting in our basement to find a way to transform it into something truly exceptional. Our goal was simple: to create a coat we could be proud of, one that lived up to the promise of wool.
We tested every prototype the hard way ; out in the fields working with our animals, during the coldest winter days, doing the kind of work that puts clothing to the test. Each version got a little better, warmer, tougher.
Eventually, we found what we were looking for. And when we did, we knew it was time to share it : to show the world what Canadian wool could become.
Ethical Sourcing from Canadian Farms
Every RimeWoven piece begins with the animals themselves. We partner directly with Canadian alpaca farms that share our values of respect, care, and transparency. Each fleece is traceable to its source, ensuring that the animals are treated humanely and live comfortably on open pastures. By working hand in hand with local ranchers, we help create a sustainable cycle — one that supports rural communities while honoring the natural rhythm of the land.
Local Craftsmanship in Québec
From fiber to finished garment, every step of production happens close to home. Our coats are designed, woven, and sewn right here in Québec, where traditional skill meets modern design. This local approach allows us to maintain exceptional quality while reducing our carbon footprint. It also lets us invest in the people who make each piece — talented craftspeople whose work keeps Canada’s textile heritage alive.
Sustainability Through Partnership and Slow Fashion
At RimeWoven, sustainability is not an afterthought — it’s the foundation of everything we do. Through our Farm Partnership Program, we collaborate with breeders to improve herd health, fiber quality, and land stewardship. This ensures a positive impact across the entire supply chain.
We also follow slow fashion principles, creating timeless garments meant to last season after season. By choosing durability over disposability, we reduce waste and help shift the industry toward a more thoughtful, regenerative future.
